"Either war is obsolete or men are."

Mission

It is the mission of RBF Dome NFP to work towards the preservation of the geodesic dome home at 407 S. Forest Avenue in Carbondale, Illinois that was the home of R. Buckminster and Anne-Hewlett Fuller, to achieve recognition of the Fuller Dome Home as a National Historic Landmark (NHL) and to create a Home Museum within the Fuller Dome Home that chronicles the years that Bucky and Anne called Carbondale "home." Upon the completion of the preservation efforts and the creation of the Fuller Dome Home Museum, the focus of RBF Dome NFP will shift towards the sharing of information concerning the principles and philosophies of Buckminster Fuller and the support of educational opportunities for the youth of the world including: scholarships, tools, models, toys and other activities that promote the ideas initiated by Buckminster Fuller.

At present RBF Dome is focusing our efforts primarily on the preservation efforts and recognition of the Fuller Dome Home as a NHL. We also engage in educational support when opportunities or projects present themselves that are in alignment with our goals and fit within our budget.
