Synergy
Bucky believed that as a function of our limited knowledge of the environment in which we live that we must recognize synergy. Bucky defined Synergy as "the behavior of whole systems unpredicted by the behavior of their parts taken separately." He understood that we cannot predict the possible outcomes of our human interaction but suggested that if we look around we could be reasonable in assuming that if we work together towards a more efficient outcome, the chances for a more positive outcome for all is enhanced.
